Allison in the Media

When Allison was just starting out in her career as a clinical dietitian, her boss recognized early on that she had an interest in communicating and translating science for various audiences larger than just for her patients and colleagues. When approached with media opportunities her boss consistently gave them to her to respond to (including one on girl scout cookies!). It was also then that she started to become aware of the vast amount of nutrition misinformation in the media – which has only grown since. She felt like it was and is her responsibility to clear up the misinformation and help not only consumers but colleagues, family and friends to see beyond the headlines. As an esteemed colleague and mentor of Allison’s once said, the RD doesn’t just stand for registered dietitian, but also research digest-er. Below are a few of Allison’s most recent interviews or articles. Interested in interviewing or working with Allison? Contact her here today.
